Violence Against Migrant Workers

 

 

It is estimated that about 10 per cent of female migrant workers are subjected to various forms of 80,000. These women face abuse in the workplace, sexual abuse and harassment, torture and death.


The difficulty of obtaining information masks the extent of the problems that the women have to face. Some available statistics are given below.
