  • Savitri Goonesekere is a member of the Board of Directors of the Centre for Poverty Analysis (CEPA)

  • Priyani Soysa and Swarna Jayaweera are Fellows of the National Academy of Sciences.

  • Priyani Soysa is a Member of the Advisory Committee on Research, National Science Foundation

  • Priyani Soysa is the Chairperson, National Health Research Council of the Ministry of Health

  • Priyani Soysa is the Chairperson of the National Committee for the Certification of Eradication of Polio, Ministry of Health

  • Priyani Soysa is a member of the Monitoring Committee on Children’s Rights.

  • Priyani Soysa is a member of the Technical Sub Committee of the Task Force on Health.

  • Priyani Soysa is the Chairman, Board of Trustees, Ministry of Health, Sri Lanka Medical Association (SLMA)

  • Swarna Jayaweera and Chandra Gunawardena are members of the Council of the Sri Lanka Association for the Advancement of Education

  • Swarna Jayaweera is a member of the Grants Board of the Information and Communication Technology Agency (ICTA)

  • Swarna Jayaweera is a member of the Board of Studies of Development Studies of the Faculty of Graduate Studies, University of Colombo

  • Swarna Jayaweera is a member and resource person in the Committee developing National Action Plans for vocational training for women and female heads of households in vulnerable families.

  • Chandra Gunawardena is Chairperson of the Board of Studies for Development Studies of the Faculty of Graduate Studies and a member of the Board of the Faculty of Graduate Studies, University of Colombo, and a member of the Faculty Board of Education, Open University, Sri Lanka.

  • Chandra Gunawardena was Chairperson of the Committee of Eminent Persons Appointed to Make Recommendations on School System Restructuring and Admission of Children to Grade One in Schools from year 2009 onwards
